34). More small world moments!

So here is my daughter Shanelle..... She's in High School and she's going to bring her friend Burt over for the day.

Burt shows up and he's got a mohawk haircut that has got, I think Purple on it at the tips.
He's so friendly and funny we hit it off instantly!
I could so see why she liked him.
I was looking way beyond the haircut.
That stuff did not bother me...
That was just the outer shell of him just like a book I guess. His expressive personality!
My daughter liked him and that's all that mattered. Well they ended up dating and going out for quite awhile. He took her to the High School dance and they looked so sweet.

When we got to meet his parents one night. Burt introduced us and I almost fell on the floor. His Mother Karen and I used to work together!
She was as shocked as I was forsure, and we laughed and laughed about it.
Shanelle was just amazed..... We all got along famously and they just loved Shanelle like a daughter. When they moved to Florida I can't tell you how many times they paid for her to fly down to be with Burt and his family. They are so special to all of us now and always. I call Burt my Son.... He loves my spaghetti and it cracks me up so much... He does not even want the noodles, he wants a bowl of my homemade sauce and a spoon!

When he comes to visit.... I always make spaghetti sauce!

Steve and I went to visit him and his Mom and Dad in Florida one summer and Steve and I used their Condo right on the beach. It was fabulous. Steve and I would wake up every morning and walk the beach and just enjoy the waves of the ocean and the feel in the air and we were looking for little sea shells and little diffferent things on the beach. Just seeing what washed up ashore.... When we were stopped in our tracks...... Here comes this little plastic kid toy floating on the beach that went to some little kids play kitchen. It was a plastic blog of Spaghetti. I remember taking a picture of it..... It was really funny! Here I was in Burt's home town and there was spaghetti! funny stuff....

So yeah, small world.......... very small world I'm telling you!
